Lina Allemano Four are just back from a successful 9 date European Tour spanning Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, and Switzerland where they released their newest and 4th album, Live at the Tranzac (Lumo Records). Recorded live at the Tranzac's intimate Southern Cross room over 3 different nights, the album is receiving favourable attention from reviewers across Europe, in multiple languages.
Hailed as one of Canada's leading avant-garde jazz bands, Lina Allemano Four is known internationally for their inventiveness and synergy as they deftly blur the line between composition and improvisation. The Toronto based band has toured extensively over the past 6 years across Europe, USA, and Canada, having already released 3 internationally acclaimed CDs. Their new album features Lina's newest compositions, showcasing her progressive, whimsical and deeply personal style, combined with her band's unique musical aesthetic, exquisite expressiveness, and exciting knack for the unexpected.
