Marie LeBlanc Flanagan is the founder of Wyrd Arts Initiatives, a nationwide nonprofit dedicated to encouraging, documenting, and connecting creative expression across Canada.

As the executive director of Wyrd Arts Initiatives she ran a successful drive to win "Best Independent Music Website in Canada" (CBC3); built and curated an online store and distro for emerging Canadian musicians; founded National Drone Music Day, recruited 500 new volunteers (from British Colombia to Nunavut); transitioned www.weirdcanada.com to bilingualism; and introduced policy and dialogue relating to responsive community building, knowledge sharing, openness and inclusivity.
