FOG

look + listen:

FOG Brass Band is a New Orleans brass band party with the intricacies of a modern jazz group. Featuring a brassy, fun-times frontline and a deep, grooving rhythm section, FOG will have toes tapping and bodies grooving to sounds inspired by funky blues, old country, Balkan, folk tunes, and high-energy jazz-rock.

Bandleader Rebecca Hennessy is a high-in-demand trumpeter, composer, and arranger in Toronto's rich music scene. She also leads Makeshift Island; co-leads Hobson's Choice, Way North, and Sweet Pea; and is the musical director for Massey Hall's Annual Women's Blues Revue. She is also a regular band member in the Woodshed Orchestra, DRUMHAND, and Skeleton Crew, to name a few. As a composer, Rebecca's music has been featured as part of the Spectrum Music Series, on CBC radio (Hobson's Choice), at Massey Hall for the Women's Blues Revue, and in various concert venues across Canada.
